Embraer delivers first Legacy 650 executive jet in Brazil

Large category aircraft can fly from São Paulo to Miami (U.S.), nonstop

São José dos Campos, December 2010 – Embraer delivered the first Legacy 650 large executive jet, this month, for the Brazilian market to a businessman from São Paulo. The customer already owns and operates an entry level Phenom 100 jet.

“It is a pleasure to see, less than two months after certification, a Legacy 650 operating in Brazil,” says Breno Corrêa, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Latin America – Executive Jets. “The unparalleled performance and comfort that made the Legacy 600 a sales success in Brazil are found in the Legacy 650, which, with its extended range, fully promises to continue Embraer’s successful incursion into the Nation’s executive aviation market.”

The Legacy 650 can handle flights of up to 3,900 nautical miles (7,223 kilometers), with four passengers, or 3,840 nautical miles (7,112 kilometers) with eight passengers, both nonstop, which allows the aircraft to fly from São Paulo to Miami (U.S.).

The new large Embraer jet has the same elegant, comfortable and functional interior as the Legacy 600, with an ample galley and the largest baggage compartment accessible in flight in its category. The Legacy 650 is equipped with the modern Honeywell Primus Elite™ avionics suite that will also equip the Legacy 600 in the future, as well as the, more powerful, and highly efficient Rolls-Royce AE 3007A2 engines.
