Embraer delivers first Lineage 1000 to Falcon Aviation Services
Ultra-large executive jet is first of two that make up a wider Embraer family order for FAS
São José dos Campos, December 7, 2010 – Embraer delivered the first ultra large Lineage 1000 executive jet, today, to VIP charter company Falcon Aviation Services (FAS) of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The handover ceremony was held on the static display of the Middle East Business Aviation exhibition at Dubai International Airport. This is the first of two Lineage 1000 jets ordered by FAS in November 2007 at the Dubai Air show, along with commitments for more Embraer executive jets.
The aircraft, which is certified for up to 19 passengers in ultimate comfort and privacy with its five distinct cabin zones, is configured with a full-size luggage compartment of 323 cubic feet (9,140 liters). The ultra large aircraft offers a range of 4,400 nautical miles (8,149 kilometers) with eight passengers, or 4,500 nautical miles (8,334 kilometers) with four passengers, which allows it to fly nonstop from Abu Dhabi to London (UK), Johannesburg (South Africa), or Tokyo (Japan). The Lineage 1000 offers more than twice the cabin size of similarly priced competitor’s ultra-long-range jets, allowing passengers to travel in much greater comfort, including the option for a queen-sized bed and in-flight shower.
