ATR Wins Royal Air Maroc Order

Regional turbo-prop plane maker ATR has won an order from Royal Air Maroc for two ATR 42-600s and four ATR 72-600s, plus options for two ATR 72-600s, the company said on Friday.

ATR is a joint venture between EADS and Italy's Finmeccanica.

The aircraft will be operated by Royal Air Maroc Express, the new regional subsidiary of the Moroccan airline, which will be launched in the summer of 2009, a statement said.
