American Airlines To Buy More Boeing 737s

American Airlines said Thursday it exercised rights to buy a further eight Boeing 737s on Thursday, worth about USD$600 million at list prices.
The airline, one of the world's biggest operators of Boeing's single-aisle jet, now expects to take delivery of 31 737s this year and 45 in 2010. It has purchase commitments on a further eight 737s for 2011.
