WestJet Pilots Ratify Four-Year Deal

WestJet Airlines' pilots have ratified a four-year contract deal, Canada's second-largest carrier said on Wednesday without divulging details of the agreement.

WestJet's pilots' association said in a statement that the agreement will provide the company and its pilots with stability to weather the airline industry's downturn.

The deal, which takes effect July 1, was ratified by 89 percent of those who voted, the company said.
