Deal to Sell Alitalia Maintenance Denied

GENOA

With a surprise decision, Augusto Fantozzi, the state commissar running what remains of the “old” Alitalia, has rejected the binding offer to sell 60% of AMS (Alitalia Maintenance Systems), the company specializing in engine and APU maintenance. The deal had been proposed on April 29 by Iniziativa Prima, a company established last April and whose capital is 88% owned by Maurizio Tucci, along with IAI Bedek, Alitalia CAI and Invitalia ...
