EMBRAER DELIVERS 20TH E-JET TO FRANCE’S REGIONAL

Air France subsidiary operates a 100% dedicated Embraer jet fleet

São José dos Campos, June 28, 2010 – Embraer achieved a significant milestone, today, with the delivery of the 20th E-Jet to Regional - Compagnie Aérienne Européenne, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Air France Group. The delivery of the aircraft – an EMBRAER 170 – marks the last of a total of 20 firm orders by Regional. The French carrier keeps four options for the E-Jets family.

“The delivery of the 20th E-Jet to our largest European customer is a terrific achievement for Embraer,” said Paulo César de Souza e Silva, Embraer Executive Vice President, Airline Market.

“With 53 Embraer jets in operation at Regional, it is gratifying to see the confidence the Air France Group has in our aircraft. It is an honor for us, as we remain fully committed to supporting their operations and ongoing fleet development.”

The new Regional EMBRAER 170, configured in a 76-seat single-class layout, will join the 19 EMBRAER 170s and EMBRAER 190s already in service. It will be deployed on the carrier’s inter-regional network, which covers 43 major cities in Europe. Regional has a fleet of 53 Embraer aircraft (ten EMBRAER 190s, ten EMBRAER 170, 27 ERJ 145s, and six ERJ 135s), making it the manufacturer’s largest customer in Europe.

“This 20th E-Jet crowns the fleet strategy that we have been leading since 2001,” said Pierre Bosse, Regional CEO Deputy & COO. “Our fully renewed fleet will enable us to upgrade our operational performance, already at outstanding levels, to our customer’s best satisfaction.

Moreover, with ten years experience and 53 Embraer aircraft, our maintenance service now stands as a major player on regional MRO market.”

About the EMBRAER 170/190 E-Jets family

The EMBRAER 170/190 family of E-Jets consists of four commercial jets with 70 to 122 seats, featuring advanced engineering design, efficient performance, outstanding operating economics, low emission levels and a spacious cabin.

The E-Jets have a maximum cruising speed of Mach 0.82, can fly at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters) and have ranges of up to 2,400 nautical miles (4,448 km). The high degree of commonality among the four aircraft – EMBRAER 170, EMBRAER 175, EMBRAER 190 and EMBRAER 195 – results in exceptional savings for carriers, in terms of crew training and costs of spare parts and maintenance. Another key feature of the E-Jets is the state-of-the- art, fly-by-wire technology, which increases operating safety, while reducing pilot workload and fuel consumption.

The double-bubble fuselage design provides superior comfort and includes two main passenger entrances and two service doors, thus minimizing aircraft turn-around time. The EJets offer much more space for passengers, in a single or dual-class layout, than other aircraft with similar seating capacities. For more details, visit www.EmbraerCommercialJets.com.

The E-Jets have achieved outstanding success, with nearly 900 firm orders logged and over 620 jets in operation, worldwide. They have accumulated more than 3.7 million flight hours and transported 200 million passengers. This proven family is helping airlines to rightsize low load factor narrowbody routes, replace older, inefficient aircraft, and develop new markets with lower operating costs, greater efficiency, and outstanding passenger comfort.
