Embraer showcases the Phenom jets family in South Africa







The two models will debut at AAD, along with the Legacy 600 executive jet

São José dos Campos, September 2010 – Embraer will showcase, for the first time in South Africa, the entry level Phenom 100 and light Phenom 300 executive jets, along with the super midsize Legacy 600, in the static display of Africa’s largest aerospace exhibition. Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD 2010 – www.aadexpo.co.za) will take place at Ysterplaat South African Air Force Base, near Cape Town, September 21-25.

“We are pleased to show the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300, together, in Cape Town for the first time,” said Colin Steven, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales – Europe, Africa and the Middle East – Executive Jets. “Visitors will get a taste of Embraer’s newest state-of-the-art executive jets, discovering the avant-garde features of the Phenoms, as well as the unparalleled combination of luxurious comfort, space, and performance of the Legacy 600.”

The Phenom 100 and Legacy 600 have successfully entered service in South Africa, with the strong support of the AdoAir Aviation Group, an Embraer Authorized Service Center based in Johannesburg. The first delivery of the new Phenom 300 to a South African customer is expected to take place this month.

Embraer will also promote its full complement of executive jets at AAD 2010, including the midlight Legacy 450, midsize Legacy 500, large Legacy 650, and ultra-large Lineage 1000.
