Embraer delivers E-Jet number 700 to British Airways
Aircraft will be operated by BA CityFlyer
São José dos Campos, November 2010 – Embraer is reaching a significant milestone, with the delivery of its 700th E-Jet – an EMBRAER 190. The handover ceremony to British Airways was held November 5th at the Company’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, a little over a year after the 600th E-Jet was delivered, in September 2009. The aircraft will be operated by BA CityFlyer, British Airways’ wholly owned subsidiary, which operates international and domestic routes from London City Airport (LCY).
The aircraft is configured with 98 seats. It will join BA CityFlyer’s fleet of ten E-Jets: five EMBRAER 170s and five EMBRAER 190s. Last month, the airline confirmed two additional options for the EMBRAER 190, which will increase its fleet to 13 E-Jets by the second half of 2011.
