Heritage Aviation, a Vermont corporation, took delivery of the jet during a ceremony at Bombardier Aerospace’s Global Completion Centre in Dorval, Québec. Customer representatives, company leaders and almost 1,000 employees from the Global aircraft program, as well as many suppliers, were on hand to mark the occasion.

“Our new Global 5000 jet offers the perfect combination of comfort, speed and range to satisfy the requirements of our expanding business,” said Christopher Hill, President, Heritage Aviation. “We are very pleased with our decision to purchase this extraordinary business jet and to participate in this celebration with Bombardier.”

Located at the Burlington International Airport, Heritage Aviation is a diversified aviation services company that provides FBO, charter, aircraft management and award-winning maintenance. In addition, the facility is one of the first LEED-certified hangars in the United States, with added features that utilize solar and wind energy, rain water collection and reuse, and also includes one of the largest green roofs in New England. The new Global 5000 jet joins a Challenger 604 jet, along with eight other aircraft in the fleet. Heritage is also certified for airframe maintenance on Challenger 604, Global Express XRS and Global 5000 jets.

The Global aircraft platform gained instant worldwide recognition for design and performance when it was first introduced in 1996 with the Global Express aircraft, and Global aircraft have since become renowned as the industry’s most advanced jets.

“We are proud that Heritage, an aviation company that highly values the environment, has selected the Global 5000 jet for their fleet,” said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Global aircraft are renowned as the industry’s most advanced jets, offering a winning combination of performance, range and a highly productive working environment in the industry’s most voluminous cabins – they are the aircraft of choice for leading corporations. We are delighted to celebrate this program event with Heritage Aviation.”

Global 5000 jet: The super large Global 5000 jet combines superior transatlantic speed with the largest cabin in its market segment. It features high-speed Internet connectivity, unmatched entertainment options, a heads-up flight display system, and one of the largest field-of-view of any business aircraft. With a range of 5,200 NM (9,630 km), the jet can connect city pairs such as London-Los Angeles, Sao Paulo-Paris, Hong Kong-Wellington, New York-Honolulu and Dubai-Perth at Mach 0.85 (561 mph; 904 km/h) non-stop with eight passengers and three crew*.
