Hartzell Propeller Receives AS9100 and ISO9001 Certification

Piqua, Ohio – April 2011. Hartzell Propeller Inc. has earned its AS9100:2004 Rev B. Aerospace Quality Standard Certification and its ISO 9001:2008 certification as part of their ongoing quality improvement program. The scope of these certifications includes all aspects of the designing, manufacturing, service and support processes for aircraft propellers and control systems.

The AS9100 certification was designed to enhance the ISO9001 by focusing on the rigorous expectations and requirements of the aerospace industry, specifically. This certification demonstrates the presence of an aerospace-quality system that is consistent and robust. These elements are essential to ensure product quality and reliability as well as process and service safety.

"Consistently having a strong FAA-authorized quality system has always been a pillar of strength for Hartzell, ”said Joe Brown, president of Hartzell Propeller. ‘’We’ve developed, certified and maintained our products under its rigorous requirements.
