Embraer places 1st Phenom 100 with a flying school in Asia-Pacific



CAE Global Academy Perth, Australia to use the jet and full-flight simulator for cadet pilot training .

São José dos Campos, October 2011 – Embraer has concluded the sale of a Phenom 100 entry-level jet to the CAE Global Academy Perth, Australia. To be delivered by the end of 2011, this is the first Phenom 100 purchased by a flight training academy in Asia-Pacific.

“Designed for high-utilization with a pilot-friendly cockpit and docile flying qualities, the Phenom 100 is the perfect platform for pilot training and instruction,” commented José Eduardo Costas, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Asia Pacific – Embraer Executive Jets. “Its availability, at the CAE Global Academy Perth will offer cadet pilots in Asia-Pacific a viable regional location to receive this jet and crew coordination training.” he added.

CAE Global Academy Perth, also known as China Southern West Australia Flying College, is a joint venture of China Southern Airlines and CAE. It is one of 11 CAE Global Academy campuses; the world’s largest network of ab-initio flight schools.

CAE Global Academy Perth has also ordered a CAE 5000 Series Level D full-flight simulator (FFS) for the training program. This will be the first Phenom 100 FFS to be available in Asia-Pacific at an ab-initio flight school and is expected to be in operation by the end of 2012.
