Bombardier Extends Inlet Cowl Repair Capability to Hong Kong

Through a strategic service agreement with Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO), Bombardier is now offering repair capability on the Trent 700 inlet cowl in Hong Kong, in addition to its Belfast and Dallas MRO facilities.
As original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Trent 700 inlet cowl, Bombardier has been providing a full range of maintenance support for more than 15 years in Belfast, and recently in Dallas. This Bombardier service is now available to be performed at HAECO’s component and avionics overhaul centre in Tseung Kwan O, 50 km east of Hong Kong International Airport.
“We are delighted to extend our repair capability on the Trent 700 inlet cowl to Hong Kong,” said Stephen Addis, General Manager, Nacelle Product Development and Customer Services, Bombardier Aerospace, Belfast. “By transferring our in-house expertise to HAECO’s facilities, we can now offer local repair solutions at competitive prices to our growing Asian customer base. This expansion is the latest step in the development of our MRO business, which now has a presence in three key regions: the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.”
“Bombardier’s commitment to offering the most comprehensive aftermarket support solutions has never been stronger,” said Gary Martin, Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Service Programs, Bombardier Customer Services. “This extended repair capability continues our trend of worldwide expansion – from increased parts inventory to enhanced maintenance and training capabilities in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.”
