Baltic Aviation Academy Has Received an Increased Number Requests from Self-Sponsored Pilots

Baltic Aviation Academy has observed, that the average number of training requests the academy received from self-sponsored pilots in 2011 was 120% higher than in 2010. Most queries in 2011 came from India, followed by Western European countries: Italy, France, Portugal and Spain.

The Airbus A320 type rating training program was the most popular one with 38% of applicants, The Boeing 737 came second with 29%, the ATR 42/72 training – 10%, Boeing 747, Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777 families – 8% while other types of training captured the attention of15% of the remaining applicants.

’We are glad the queries from self-sponsored pilots had more than doubled in 2011. We are extremely proud that pilots undertaking type rating courses at our academy leave with great impressions and persuade their friends to choose Baltic Aviation Academy for their training. Measuring by the number of received queries, the rapidly growing market in India puts this country on the top of the list, overtaking the Western European and Russian-speaking countries that had been traditionally dominating the list during previous years,’ commented Egle Vaitkeviciute, the Chief Executive Officer at Baltic Aviation Academy.

In 2010 Baltic Aviation Academy introduced a complete type rating package that included base and line training. This was the main factor that contributed to an increased number of queries from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden and India.

According to the Harris Interactive research carried out in June 2010, when asked about what sources had influenced their decision to use or not use a particular company, brand or product, 71% of all respondents went for ’feedback received from family members or friends’ as a factor exerting a ’great deal‘ or a ’fair amount’ of influence. An average consumer mentions specific brands over 90 times per week in conversations with friends, family and co-workers, states Keller Fay Group research on word of mouth (WOM) marketing, conducted in 2010.
