More than 40 countries from about 480 companies will be present at The International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE)
Santiago de Chile, February 2012 Over 480 companies from 40 countries will be participating at The International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE), which will be performed in Santiago de Chile, March 27th-December 1st. The fair is the most outstanding Latin American aeronautics event.
The organizing committee said in a press release that this year they hope to surpass the amount of business performed, which two years ago reached about US$ 250.000.000.
In this coming XVII edition, which will be performed in Santiago de Chile’s international airport the US Boeing and the European Airbus will be present. Both are regarded to be the major manufacturers of aircraft and aerospace equipment around the world.
In the fair, Airbus and Eurocopter from EADS will be present as well as the US Lockheed Martin and the Russian United Aircraft Corporation.
Brazilian companies will also have a major presence, according to FIDAE organizers
The fair, regarded as the most important aerospace and defence event in Latin America has became an important business centre of the following sectors: civil-commercial aviation, defence, aircraft maintenance, airport & equipment services, space technology and Homeland Security.Source: www.fidae.cl
