Airbus secured only two new aircraft orders last month but remained at a net gain of 11 for the year owing to two cancellations.

The aircraftmaker booked an A330-200 order from ILFC, the second the leasing company has placed in as many months, and an A320 order from Asiawide, a new customer for Airbus. Asiawide is the 310th customer for Airbus.

The cancellations were for one Airbus A330-200 on order by leasing company Aircastle Advisory and one A320 from the Kingfisher Red, the former Daccan, leaving the backlog for the company and the aircraft models exactly the same as a month ago.

Three undisclosed A320 orders are now also identified, belonging to ILFC.

Through May 31, Airbus had delivered 205 aircraft.

Rival Boeing remained at net zero orders for the year through the period, with 201 deliveries.
