KAMOV GREEN LIGHT

Kamov has clinched European certification for its multi-role Ka-32A11BC twin-engined helicopter, paving the way for it to operate commercially within European Union countries. Around 17 Ka-32s have been operating under a special permit across the EU by government controlled programmes including firefighting and powerline construction. "Russian-made helicopters are a regular sight in the united European skies, but the European legislation limits their operation. This has been a barrier to our sales in the EU," says Russian Helicopters chief executive Andrei Shibitov....
