LCROSS Hits Its Target, But Visuals Weak

MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. - NASA's mechanical meteor hit its target on the south pole of the moon early Oct. 9, with scientists hoping that it would send a shower of regolith - lunar dirt - and vapor into the atmosphere just long enough for them to determine whether the moon has water or frozen hydrogen buried just beneath its crust....
