Burgess Hill facility began Phenom 100 FFS pilot training last September

São José dos Campos, November 15, 2009 – Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS) started operations at CAE’s Burgess Hill center, in the U.K., last September. The joint venture
established by Embraer and CAE to provide pilot and maintenance training for the Phenom 100
and Phenom 300 jets, back in 2007, offers customers the innovative Phenom 100 Full-Flight
Simulator (FFS) certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Nearly 20 pilots have already been type rated for the Embraer Phenom 100 executive jet, using
the CAE 5000 Series FFS in Europe. The simulator will soon be certified by Brazil’s National
Civil Aviation Agency (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil – ANAC), so that Brazilian
customers will have the added flexibility to train in the U.K., in addition to Dallas, U.S.

“This achievement is an important milestone for us, at Embraer,” said Simon Newitt, Embraer’s
Director of Customer Training. “And it is especially significant to our customers, who can be
certain that we are always working to offer them the best training and support available.”

CAE’s Burgess Hill center provides Phenom 100 customers with the very latest in training
technology and learning techniques. CAE’s long-standing commitment to quality has allowed
ECTS to offer pilots the most advanced technologies, such as CAE Simfinity™ integrated
training solutions, and the new CAE 5000 Series Phenom 100 FFS.
