The Czech Republic’s ABS Jets receives EASA Part 145 certification

São José dos Campos, November 15, 2009 – Embraer informs that ABS Jets, of Prague,
Czech Republic, is now certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for Part 145
maintenance on the entry level Phenom 100 jet. The company is also an Embraer authorized
service center for the Legacy 600 executive jet in the Europe, Middle East and Africa
(EMEA) region, and the Company’s authorized sales representative for Eastern Europe.

“As the Phenom 100 fleet expands throughout the European and EMEA regions, Embraer’s
customers continue to have top maintenance services available to them,” said Antonio
Martini Neto, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support & Services for Europe, the Middle
East and Africa – Executive Jets. “We have the utmost confidence that ABS Jets will offer the
same quality maintenance services that it already provides for our Legacy 600 executive jet.”

In-house theoretical training for eight technicians was provided by Embraer CAE Training
Services (ECTS). On-the-job training was performed at Embraer’s Gavião Peixoto facility,
in Brazil.

“The new approval for ABS Jets gives the possibility to perform both line and base
maintenance,” said David Kyjovský, CEO of ABS Jets. “We are confident that we are
ready to provide Embraer’s and our own customers with services that will fully satisfy their
expectations, especially with regard to the quality of workmanship, customer support,
flexibility, availability and cost effectiveness.”
