Rolls-Royce Begins A350XWB Engine Test Runs

LONDON

Rolls-Royce has commenced engine runs of the TrentXWB, the turbofan being designed as the sole offering on the Airbus A350XWB twin-widebody.

The engine maker says the first engine run milestone occurred on June 17 at its Derby facility. Program officials were hoping the milestone would keep the schedule rolling through May, but some last-minute delays caused a slight ...
