Bombardier Service Centre Network Reaches Milestone with 60 Maintenance Facilities Worldwide

New business aircraft Line Maintenance Facilities in Malaysia, Mexico and Latvia

Bombardier Aerospace today announced that it is forging ahead with the expansion of its worldwide customer service and support network with the addition of three aircraft-on-ground (AOG) Line Maintenance Facilities (LMF), including its first-ever service facilities in Malaysia and Latvia, expanding Bombardier’s network presence to 26 countries. The new LMFs are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Monterrey, Mexico and Riga, Latvia. Bombardier’s worldwide service and maintenance support network – among the industry’s most comprehensive – now includes 60 service centres, Authorized Service Facilities (ASFs) and AOG LMFs.

“This expansion marks an important milestone in Bombardier’s drive to deliver world-class maintenance access to customers faster and closer to their base of operations,” said James Hoblyn, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. “We will continue to extend our worldwide network over the next five years to keep pace with our growing fleet of business and commercial aircraft worldwide.”

Earlier this year, Bombardier inaugurated its first wholly owned European Service Centre in Amsterdam and Regional Support Office in Mumbai.

Newly appointed facilities

  • ExecuJet Malaysia becomes Bombardier’s first LMF in Malaysia. ExecuJet Malaysia handles Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft at Kuala Lumpur, Lapangan Terbang SAAS International Airport.
  • Aerovitro S.A. of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico has been named an AOG LMF for Challenger and Global aircraft. Located at Aeropuerto del Norte International Airport, it is the second Bombardier-approved business jet maintenance facility in Mexico.
  • Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH (LBAS)* has opened an LMF for Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft at Riga International Airport in Latvia. The facility, which provides joint services through LBAS and Baltic Business Aviation Centre Ltd./FBO Riga, will add Challenger 850 jet capability by year-end.

In addition to these appointments, Bombardier has increased capabilities to its existing ASF and LMF network.

  • On August 23, 2010, Comlux Aviation Services added Challenger 300 aircraft accreditation to their full ASF capabilities for production model Learjet and Challenger 600 series aircraft at their Indianapolis, Indiana, facility. Comlux also provides AOG line maintenance services for Global business jets.
  • On October 5, 2010, Jet Aviation added Learjet 60 aircraft certification to the suite of line maintenance capabilities offered for Challenger and Global aircraft at their Moscow facility, based at Vnukovo airport in Russia.

Bombardier Aircraft Service Centre Network
Bombardier’s complete aircraft service network now consists of 60 facilities worldwide for Business and Commercial Aircraft. Bombardier operates nine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Service Centres (including the newest centre at Schiphol International Airport), offering capabilities from scheduled maintenance, inspections and refurbishment to fly-in repairs, mobile repair parties and AOG support. These are complemented by an extensive network of 51 ASFs and AOG LMFs (including 46 for business aircraft and five for commercial airliners) located in 26 countries and six continents around the world.
