Chet Fuller Joins Bombardier as New Senior Vice President, Sales, Commercial Aircraft

Bombardier Aerospace today announced the appointment of Charles (Chet) R. Fuller as Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Asset Management, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, reporting to Gary R. Scott, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.

“We're thrilled to welcome Chet to Bombardier Aerospace,” said Mr. Scott. “During his more than 25 years in the aerospace industry, Chet has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and insight that will be invaluable to our organization as we move forward with our new, groundbreaking aircraft programs.”

“We look forward to Chet helping Bombardier achieve new heights of success,” added Mr. Scott. “He is a dynamic leader with a proven track record. With his broad range of experience in the aerospace and airline industries, Chet will bring a fresh perspective to his role as the head of our commercial aircraft sales and marketing teams – with a particular emphasis on our all-new CSeries family of commercial aircraft.”

Mr. Fuller will assume leadership responsibility for Bombardier Commercial Aircraft’s global sales, marketing and asset management teams on December 13, 2010. Before joining Bombardier, Mr. Fuller was Chief Marketing Officer and, most recently, President, Civil Systems, GE Aviation.

In his role as the Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Fuller led growth initiatives across GE Aviation businesses. He was instrumental in GE's growth into Aviation Systems and Business and General Aviation, including the acquisition of the Czech company, Walter Aircraft Engines. In his position as President, Civil Systems, GE Aviation, he was responsible for growing the Avionics, Electric Power, Integrated Propulsion, Integrated Health Monitoring and Air Traffic Management businesses of GE Aviation Systems.

Prior to his tenure at GE, Mr. Fuller held the position of Vice President, The Americas, Honeywell Aerospace, from 2003 to 2005. Previously, he held several roles at ATA Airlines, including Director, Strategic Planning, and Vice President, Operations Productivity, from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Fuller also spent 14 years in the United States Navy, where he held a variety of positions including as a carrier pilot and instructor pilot. During his time in the navy, Mr. Fuller made 300 carrier landings, and he remains an active pilot.

“I’m extremely pleased about the opportunity to join Bombardier Commercial Aircraft,” said Mr. Fuller. “The CSeries aircraft will be an outstanding product that will ultimately change the face of commercial aviation in the 100- to 149-seat commercial market segment. The marketplace is highly competitive, but with the CSeries aircraft, Bombardier will have the right product at the right time. With an aircraft portfolio consisting of the Q400 NextGen turboprop, the CRJ Series regional jets and the CSeries family of aircraft, Bombardier will have the most fuel efficient, the most economic, and the quietest fleets of any other aircraft in their class."
