Pratt CFM56 Parts Gain Chinese Certification

CFM56-3 life-limited parts (LLPs) that Pratt & Whitney developed and manufactured as an alternative to OEM parts now can enter Chinese revenue service. On Nov. 17, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued a validation of supplemental type certification (VSTC) clearing the way for the parts’ use in China.
