Embraer highlights its executive jets portfolio at EBACE 2011
The Company will show the Phenom family, alongside the Legacy 650, the new mock-up of the Legacy 500, and the Lineage 1000 . São José dos Campos, May 2011 – Embraer will participate in the 11th European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE – www.ebace.aero), to be held at the Geneva Palexpo Exhibition Center, in Switzerland, May 17-19. The entry level Phenom 100, the light Phenom 300, the large Legacy 650, and the ultra-large Lineage 1000 jets will be presented in the static display. The newest full-scale mock-up of the midsize Legacy 500 will be also exhibited at Embraer’s booth, number 7041, Hall 7.
A press conference will be offered on Monday, May 16, in Room 1, Hall 7, at 3:15 p.m., hosted by Ernest Edwards, recently appointed the new President, Embraer Executive Jets. The presentation will focus on the Company’s most recent achievements in product programs and developments in customer support solutions. Members of the press are also welcome to a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m., the same day, at the Embraer booth, to visit the new Legacy 500 mock-up.
In 2010, the family of Embraer Executive Jets achieved new milestones, with the delivery of 145 executive jets. This represents 23 more aircraft than the previous year, which is the highest increase among all manufacturers. The Phenom 100 was also acclaimed as the most popular executive jet, with 100 units delivered to customers throughout the world. Embraer’s 2010 market share reached 19%, or almost one in every five executive jets delivered, worldwide.
Embraer also celebrated the opening of its first U.S. aircraft final assembly plant last February, at Melbourne International Airport, in Melbourne, Florida. In April, Embraer announced a framework agreement with AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China) to implement a Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 production line in China, which will use the infrastructure, financial resources, and workforce of the current joint venture between the companies: Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Company (HEAI).
