Embraer-CAE joint venture expands Phenom training to Brazil
The new center will provide a complete training solution for Latin American operators . São José dos Campos, August 2011 – Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a joint venture of Embraer and CAE, is expanding its service network in Brazil. CAE’s Training Center is located near Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), in São Paulo, 80 kilometers from Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos. It will provide a complete training solution for pilots and maintenance personnel of the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 executive jets, including ground school, Garmin Prodigy training station, integrated procedures training (IPT), and a full-flight simulator (FFS). The state-of-the-art CAE 5000 series dual configuration simulator (Phenom 100 and Phenom 300) will be offered to customers in Brazil at the state-of-the-art CAE facility.

Always committed in offering the best service to its customers, ECTS applies CAE’s advanced simulation technology, methodologies and tools to create outstanding training programs. The high-quality integrated programs take pilots and aircraft maintenance technicians through the entire program with a multi-phase learning approach. One example is the CAE 5000 series Level D convertible full-flight simulator that adds considerable flexibility to customers, since it is able to switch from the Phenom 100 to the Phenom 300 platforms, and vice-versa, while maintaining the same quality, reliability and aircraft fidelity.

The CAE São Paulo Training Center, which was recently expanded to offer ten simulator bays, currently has eight FFS pilot stations and trains about 6,000 pilots a year. The center also features 12 classrooms, 20 brief/debrief rooms, integrated procedures trainers and customer offices. The 24-hour facility has a cafeteria with round-the-clock access and shuttle service to the airport.
The Phenom training system in Brazil is set to begin in the second quarter of 2012. It will join the facilities in Dallas, Texas, U.S., and in Burgess Hill, UK, near London, which have been approved by the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
