Over 500 delegates are expected at the event, of which Embraer is sponsor and featured exhibitor .

São José dos Campos, September 2011 – Embraer will participate in the annual European Regions Airline Association (ERA) General Assembly (www.eraa.org), from September 28 to 30, at the Marriott Park Hotel, in Rome, Italy. Some 65 airlines and more than 100 associate and affiliate ERA members convene every year to discuss short, medium and long-term issues of concern to the industry.

Embraer is a long-standing member of the ERA and has a seat on its Board of Directors. Representatives from the company will be in attendance and available to meet delegates at its display, which is part of the conference’s trade exhibition.

Ten ERA member airlines operate Embraer aircraft on a network that spans the European continent from the UK to the Ukraine. “Over one-third of our customers in Europe are ERA members,” stated Simon Newitt, Vice President, Europe – Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The organization plays a vital role in ensuring visibility and debate on critical subjects that affect us and those who operate Embraer aircraft.”

Embraer commercial jets have been playing a key role in the integration of the ERA member airlines and their operations. In Europe, 29 airlines from 17 countries fly 267 Embraer aircraft. There are 96 jets from the ERJ 145 family and 171 E-Jets in service. Five ERA member airlines fly the ERJ 145 family of regional jets and six member carriers operate E-Jets.
