São José dos Campos, September 2011 – Embraer will participate in the seventh U.K. Business & General Aviation Day – BGAD (www.bgad.aero) on Tuesday, September 20, at Cambridge Airport, U.K. The Company will showcase the Phenom 300 light jet in the static display, together with a full fly-by-wire simulator of the new midsize Legacy 500.

“Embraer is happy to return to BGAD and display, once again, the Phenom 300 in Cambridge,” said Colin Steven, Vice President, Europe, Middle East & Africa – Embraer Executive Jets. “We are also pleased to continue the Legacy 500 simulator tour with a stop in the U.K. Professionals, pilots and aviation trade visitors will see the full fly-by-wire state-of-the-art technology, which is exceptional for an aircraft in this category.”

Following the joining of the fuselage and the installation of the aircraft’s systems in July, the Legacy 500 program entered a new phase. The aircraft was moved to the final assembly hangar, where it is being readied to receive the wing structure, as it continues preparing for its flight test program.

The Phenom 300, certified in December 2009, has already earned a reputation as a game changer in its first year of operation. With a range of 1,971 nautical miles (3,650 kilometers) including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, it can fly nonstop from London (U.K.) to Alexandria (Egypt). It recently received Type Certification from Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

Embraer’s executive jets portfolio also includes the entry level Phenom 100, the super midsize Legacy 600, the large Legacy 650 and the ultra-large lineage 1000, which entered service in 2009. Newcomers include the midsize Legacy 500 and the midlight Legacy 450 – expected to enter service in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
