28th September 2011 .

Oakenhurst Aircraft Services is to provide product support and repair services for the Dlink+ w/CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communication) system produced by Spectralux Avionics.

Dlink+ w/CPDLC is a single LRU (line replaceable unit) system designed to meet the growing data communications requirements of civil and military aircraft operators – and in particular addresses the EUROCONTROL Link 2000+ equipage mandates.

Under a newly signed agreement, Rayleigh, Essex, UK-based Oakenhurst will provide year-round, 24-hour, AOG support for Dlink+ as well as exchange units and warranty repairs as the product is fielded more widely.

The agreement with Redmond, WA-based Spectralux is with immediate effect and initially covers the UK, Europe, and Ukraine (where Oakenhurst has its own workshop). It may be expanded to other territories.

Key Dlink+ w/CPDLC datalink functionalities include:

  • Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC)
  • Baseline ACARS
  • End-to-end Aircraft Operational Control (AOC)
  • Aviation VHF Link Control (AVLC)
  • Air Traffic Services (ATS)
  • ARINC 623/ATN option

Oakenhurst Managing Director Charlie Parker said:

It provides an all-in-one ACARS capability with an easy route into ATN and CPDLC when required. We are very confident that it will win a strong European market share and we look forward to supporting it in service.”

Gary Glynn, Spectralux Avionics Director of Sales & Marketing remarked:

“We and our customers require timely and robust support for Dlink+ w/CPDLC as it is fielded in Europe and Oakenhurst’s reputation gives us complete confidence that they will provide that. Their passion for pleasing the customer matches the high priority that Spectralux Avionics places on dependability.”
