Baltic Aviation Academy to provide type rating training for Air X Executive Jets Gmbh

The aviation training centre Baltic Aviation Academy has signed a contract with the Austrian company Air X Executive Jets Gmbh. According to the newly signed agreement the academy will provide the Austrian carrier with type rating training services. It is the first Baltic Aviation Academy‘s contract with business and private jet charter flight provider.

Air X company pilots have already executed Bombardier CRJ 100 type rating training in the academy. The CRJ 100 type rating training program is also applicable to business jet Bombardier Challenger 850 aircraft type pilots. The ground training was carried out in Vilnius, Lithuania and the flight training on CRJ 100 Full Flight Simulator took place in Madrid, Spain.

’We are very pleased with our new partnership. Air X has been long known for putting the aviation safety first; therefore, the fact that they chose us as their training partner is particularly significant. The recent economic recession has been a hard blow to many aviation industry sectors, private and business jet market is also recovering after the severe economical downturn. The good news is that manufacturers are starting to increase the production of produced jets and companies are raising the numbers of flying hours’, said Egle Vaitkeviciute, the Chief Executive Officer at Baltic Aviation Academy.

’After many years spent in the aviation business, we understand that the main priority is flight safety. We provide the highest quality services to our clients whilst highlighting the importance of experienced flight crew, maintenance and cabin crew staff. We are particularly focused on ensuring that our employees receive the best possible training that is out there. So far Baltic Aviation Academy has met all of our company’s training needs and high standard requirements’, said John B. Matthews, the Chief Executive Officer at Air X Executive Jets GmbH.

According to the Bombardier Market Forecast for 2011-2030, business jet production may amount to 13200 units in 2008 – 2017, which is twice as much as it was in the previous decade (1998 – 2007), when 6220 units were manufactured.
