(April 2nd, 2012) -SeaPort Airlines today made two announcements that will make both pet owners and their furry friends ecstatic.

In honor of the upcoming National Pet Month, SeaPort Airlines is waiving pet fees when a pet is traveling with their owner on the same itinerary throughout the month of April. Man's best friend deserves to be spoiled on occasion, so don't be afraid to "throw your dog a bone" this month and bring him or her along on your travels!

The company is also making a more permanent change to its pet policies for relocating military families, offering free pet transportation for all military families traveling to a SeaPort destination when they show their relocation orders.

"This small gesture is just one way we can show our gratitude for the men and women that fight for this country," said Rob McKinney, President--SeaPort Airlines. SeaPort Airlines also waives overweight bag fees for active duty military personnel with military I.D.

SeaPort is hosting a contest on its social media pages to celebrate National Pet Month; one winner will receive two (2) round trip ticket vouchers. To participate, post photos of your cat, dog, fish, or other pet on an official SeaPort Airlines Twitter, Facebook, or Google Plus page by April 30th,2012. Rules and restrictions apply.

Pet must be traveling with an adult passenger on the same itinerary. Pet carrier required; pet cannot exceed 40 lbs with carrier, and must have all current vaccinations and flea treatments. The Salina Airport Authority is a body corporate and politic. The Authority was created by the City of Salina in April 1965 pursuant to the authority granted by the City by the surplus property and public airport authority act of the State of Kansas. The Authority is managed and controlled by a five-member Board of Directors appointed by the Salina City Commission.

The Salina Airport Authority is home to the Salina Municipal Airport, the Salina Aviation Service Center and the Salina Airport Industrial Center. The board of directors and staff are proactive in providing the citizens ofSalina, Saline County and North Central Kansas with a center that support business and industry, which, in turn, provides jobs and payroll that benefit the region.
